Ames Town and Country Kiwanis Club: Sponsor for the Senior Variety Show
Ames Town and Country Kiwanis recently awarded the Senior Variety Show with a $300 grant to help with the annual show’s fundraising pursuits. The 25th Annual Senior Variety Show, “Celebrating Silver, Creating Gold!” will be presented in August at Ames City Auditorium and its net proceeds support local senior programs and projects.
Shaffer’s Auto Body: Marquee Sponsor for Senior Variety Show
Sam Shaffer (right), owner of Shaffer’s Auto Body in Ames presents a $1,000 check to Steve Bellin for Marquee Sponsorship of the Senior Variety Show. Bellin is the Sponsorship Chair for the show. Shaffer has supported the show for many years and is proud that that his mother, Mary Ann Barnes, was an integral part of the show. Ames Ford: Marquee Sponsor for Senior Variety Show
Nick Johnson (left), manager of Ames Ford Lincoln in Ames presents a $1,000 check to Financial Consultant Skip Walter for Marquee Sponsorship of the Senior Variety Show. Ames Ford Lincoln has been a longtime sponsor of the show and each year has loaned a vehicle for show members to use in the Ames 4th of July Parade. The Johnsons also cover the cost of the cast party following the August performance. The 25th Annual Senior Variety Show, “Celebrating Silver, Creating Gold!” will be held August 16 and 17 at Ames City Auditorium.
Northcrest: Marquee Sponsor for Senior Variety Show
Linda Doyle (left), Northcrest Community CEO/Administrator, presents a $1,000 check to Julie Minot for Marquee Sponsorship of the Senior Variety Show 2019. Minot is the show’s co-director and is past president of the Senior Variety Show board. Northcrest has been a long-time show sponsor and has several residents and staff performing in this year’s show. Green Hills: Marquee Sponsor for Senior Variety Show
While enjoying the Bistro atmosphere at Green Hills, Marketing Director Bailey Upton; and Green Hills residents Carol Deppe, Alice Thompson and Si Silence present the Senior Variety Show with a $1,000 Marquee Sponsorship check. Accepting the check is Senior Variety Show board member Kitty Fisher (right). Although all three Green Hills residents have performed on the senior variety show stage, Thompson has been in all of the performances since 1995 and at 95 years, is the oldest performer. The 25th Annual Senior Variety Show “Celebrating Silver, Creating Gold!” will be held August 16 and 17 at Ames City Auditorium.
Osher Lifelong Learning: Marquee Sponsor for Senior Variety Show
Jerilyn Logue (left), director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) presents a $1,000 Marquee Sponsorship check to Jan Sobotka Sabin, Senior Variety Show Board Secretary. OLLI, housed in the ISU Alumni Center at 429 Alumni Lane, offers continued learning opportunities for anyone 50+. The Fall Open House is August 8 and new classes begin on September 9.
